Code of conduct

Code of conduct

We take responsibility for the people and the environment wherever we operate.

Vida must be a responsible employer that respects human rights and people’s health and safety, and is considerate of the environment.

This code of conduct provides guidance for how we should act in different situations. Everybody in the Group, both the leadership team and employees, has a responsibility to adhere to these guidelines, and our suppliers of products and services commit to adhering to this code of conduct.

Our business principles

We will respect and comply with the laws and regulations that apply in all countries where we operate. Our contact with business partners and other stakeholders will be conducted with impartiality and will follow fair business practice. We guarantee privacy to our business partners, both in terms of trade secrets and all other confidential business-related information that we are party to in our business operations.

We will not offer our business partners or other stakeholders any form of reward or other benefits that contravene applicable laws or reasonable and generally accepted business practices. Our employees must not accept personal gifts, or other compensation that exceeds the limits set, from external parties with whom there is a business relationship. Neither are they permitted to participate in business entertainment in excess of normal business operations.

Human rights

We will respect human rights and international standards such as those in the UN’s Declaration of Human Rights and in the International Labour Organization’s core conventions.

We do not accept any form of child labour, nor forced labour or other involuntary labour. Discrimination based on race, religion, political preferences, gender, age, nationality, sexual orientation or disability is not permitted.

Our employees have the right to exercise their legal rights to start, join or refrain from joining trade organisations.

Workplace environment, health and safety

All our employees and others that spend time on our premises will have a safe and healthy workplace environment. We work actively to prevent workplace accidents and work-related illnesses. Accidents and incidents are reported, acted upon and followed up. National workplace environment laws and applicable collective agreements will always be complied with.

Environment

We will be an environmentally responsible company and we endeavour to reduce our impact on the environment. The environmental laws in force will always be complied with.
