Vida is Sweden's largest sawmill group with, among other things, 12 sawmills. Since 2019, the Canadian company Canfor has owned 70% of the shares in Vida. Now Vida's CEO has been appointed President of Canfor Europe.

Måns has been Vida’s CEO since 2019 and before that sales manager for the group. Now he will assume the role of President of Canfor Europe while remaining as CEO of Vida.

– We want to continue to look for opportunities to grow and increase our involvement in Europe. Due to this, we have gathered all European initiatives under one umbrella which will now be led by Måns Johansson. Måns brings significant knowledge of the European forest industry and he is very customer-oriented and has successfully managed Vida in recent years, says Don Kayne, CEO of Canfor.

– It feels very stimulating to be trusted to lead Canfor’s continued expansion in Europe. Together, we are one of the world’s largest producers of sawn timber. By continuing to grow together, we will also be able to offer our customers high-quality products in the future, and we will be a future workplace for our employees, says Måns Johansson.
