About Vida Forest

Vida Forest is the Group’s purchasing company with some 50 local timber buyers.

Vida Forest is the Group’s purchasing company with some 50 local timber buyers. We acquire a total of 6,4 million cubed metres (solid under bark) of round timber every year. 5,3 million of this volume is for our sawn product range. Most of the raw materials are purchased from private forest landowners in southern Sweden. In addition to the purchasing function, Vida Forest offers a complete range of forest services and professional forest-related advice to forest landowners. Our vision – Sweden’s best provider of raw materials.

Vida’s sawmills

The Group has twelve sawmills that are strategically located close to the forest landowners in the counties of Småland, Skåne and Västra Götaland in Sweden. Our sawmills are technically advanced with modern equipment. They are specialised to get the greatest benefit from the raw materials and to produce what the market demands. Close cooperation between our end customers, sawmills and buyers creates the conditions for the best sales price on the global market. This in turn improves our ability to pay forest landowners and suppliers.
