Environmental policy
Vida’s environmental policy permeates every decision we make.
Vida shall work continuously to reduce environmental impact in our daily decisions. This means striving, throughout the entire process—from forest, through production and sales, to distribution to the customer—to reduce the total environmental impact through close cooperation between our employees, customers, and suppliers.
We shall aim to achieve a high share of environmentally certified raw material in accordance with FSC® (C041265) and PEFC, and thereby also a high proportion of certified finished products. The requirements and intentions of FSC and PEFC shall be followed as far as possible, and we do not purchase timber from illegal or socially unauthorized logging operations.
We shall at a minimum comply with applicable legislation and relevant decisions for our production units, and actively monitor new developments and findings in the environmental field.
Emissions and impacts from production units and transport shall be limited as far as reasonably possible, taking into account technology and economic considerations.
It is our conviction that the path to success is built on continuous improvement in areas such as production technology, energy efficiency, product selection, and employee competence—where the combined effect of many small improvements carried out across the entire organization creates lasting value for the environment.
