Areas of use
The pure neutral shade and the matt surface do not only add life and depth to images, but also make large areas of text easy to read. Scandia 2000 is suitable for all types of printed matter.
Suggested areas of use where Scandia 2000 gives an excellent result are: Advertising materials, text and picture books, instruction materials, annual reports, envelopes and letter paper, etc. The greater grammages can be used successfully for covers, postcards and visiting cards.
The grammages 80, 90 and 100 g/m
2 are adapted for laser and approved for OCR.
Printing methods
Scandia 2000 is particularly suited to printing using offset, book printing, letterset and flexography. Printing inks suitable for uncoated paper should be used.
Repro
120-133 lines/inch (48-54 lines/cm) is a suitable screen density for Scandia 2000. Repro adjustment should be used as required.
Post-printing treatment
Scandia 2000 is well suited to binding using thread, staples or glue. The paper quality permits folding in all grammages.
Matters to consider
As this is an uncoated paper it is less suitable for varnishing.
Grammages over 100 g/m
2 can be laminated, but care should be taken when laminating dark printed areas, as milky patches may appear.
Be careful during ink distribution so that too large amounts of ink are not added, as increased drying time and smearing on the back may result.
Product specifications
Scandia 2000 has high natural whiteness. The paper is uncoated and has high opacity. The paper is made from wood-free, chlorine-free pulp and is neutrally sized. It has a natural buffering capacity and is resistant to ageing in accordance with ISO 9706. Scandia 2000 is available in a large range of grammages from 70 to 440 g/m
2.
