The VIDA group has developed the expertise necessary for tailoring products to the specific requirements of different markets. It has also made tailoring a habit. A considerable part of our production is sawn and worked up to meet specific customer requirements. Structural timber is specially sorted and marked for Europe, Japan, the USA and the domestic market. Panels are planed to a large number of profiles. Tongued and grooved products, battens and laths are manufactured in most dimensions. Because requirements vary from market to market, dimensions, lengths and sorting are tailored to meet specific wishes. Large volumes are supplied with bar codes. Spruce is the dominant wood type, but pine is also used and has its advantages for outdoor environments. Use in the latter entails length tailoring and planing; impregnating is also often required.
