Areas of use
Kaskad gives plenty of room for creativity. The combination of the large number of colours and grammages offer endless opportunities. The colours have a strong signalling value and draw the attention.
Kaskad is very suited to printed matters, both with text and with lighter images, such as advertising prints, brochures, information material, posters, envelopes, covers, folders, books, etc. The lower grammages are also suited for use as tickets, forms, etc.
See also Kaskad Office for office use.
Printing methods
Kaskad is suitable for printing in offset, flexography, book printing and screen printing (over 100 g/m2) and letterset. The printing ink used should be intended for uncoated paper.
Repro
120 lines/inch (48 lines/cm) is a suitable screen density. Image choice and text should be adapted in accordance with the colour and colour strength of the paper. Text and light images work best. Repro adjustment should be used as needed.
Post-printing treatment
Kaskad is suitable for binding with glue, thread or staples. In the upper grammage range, the paper should be scored before folding. Laminating is possible from 100 g/m2 and above. Care should however be taken when laminating dark printed areas, as patchiness easily can appear.
Matters to consider
Remember that the colour of the paper affects the printing, and adapt the choice of images accordingly. Kaskad is not suitable for varnishing, as the lacquer can easily be absorbed by the paper.
